Congratulations to the 14 faculty members and 11 PhD students who authored a total of 20 presentations slated for the Conference.
The panelists discussed contributing factors to school gun violence, the school social workers role in creating a safe learning environment, and preventative practices to reduce violence in schools. NASW also supports School Social Workers Improving Student Success Act (SWISS) which aims to hire and retain school social workers.

Pragati (the erstwhile Integrated Rural Health and Development Project) is a field action project of the Centre for Health and Mental Health, School of Social Work. The organisations working with tribal communities had a brainstorming session, discussion, and recommendations for way forward to engage with tribal communities.
Bullying is a top concern among parents of school-age children. According to the National Bullying Prevention Center, one out of five children reported being bullied during the school year. Among the many reasons not to engage in this pernicious practice: It discourages domestic violence victims from seeking help, and it actually compounds the trauma of removal for the children.
