OCTOBER IS DOMESTICVIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH. Ninety percent of youth in the child welfare system report having been exposed to at least one traumatic event in their life. Witnessing domesticviolence is one such event, an adverse childhood experience (ACE) that can have a lifelong impact.
Child Welfare Specialist : Social workers in this role focus on the safety and well-being of children, often within the context of child protective services or foster care systems. Upon completion of the assessment, you will be better equipped to collaboratively develop a treatmentplan tailored to your client’s unique needs.
Follow-up should occur regularly — at least once a month or more frequently if needed — and include re-screening, reviewing the treatmentplan, evaluating the response to the treatment, and identifying any barriers to treatment.
