Providing wider education and awareness IHS’s COIPP held multiple community education events covering topics such as prevention of opioid use disorder, accessing opioid-specific services, recognizing overdose, and administering naloxone. Education and awareness are cornerstones of this approach. Barriers still exist due to social factors.
