Sharp rise in children’s social workers leaving council roles, government figures show

The number of social workers leaving children’s posts in English councils or trusts has spiked to its highest point in at least five years, according to Department for Education figures. The number of FTE agency workers increased by 3% on the year to 5,977, a fourth consecutive annual rise.
