Many were here with post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, so common following participation in armed conflict and in some cases, the result of physical or sexual abuse. I applied for at least 50 jobs there, both at my administrative level and below it. These too were veterans, but of a different sort of war. Part time, full time.
